Yesterday saw the trade launch of Get On, a ground breaking £4m nationwide consumer campaign to promote motorcycling and scootering, which kicked off with a live riding demonstration by Blue’s Simon Webbe at the Britannia Stadium, Stoke.

The revolutionary Get On campaign has been designed to promote the message that Life’s Better on Two Wheels and throughout the UK it will offer the public free, one hour, riding taster sessions on motorcycles and scooters, over the next three years.

Fresh from rehearsals for Blue’s comeback tour, motorcycle enthusiast Simon Webbe was the star attraction at the launch where he was put through his paces on a 125cc motorcycle. He was able to experience what members of the public can expect when they sign up for their free trial.
Yesterday also saw the launch of www.geton.co.uk a one-stop shop of information on how to get involved in biking and the place to go for the public to sign up for their very own free, one hour riding taster session.
Simon Webbe launches Get OnCommenting on the day’s activities, Webbe said, I’ve always been a big fan of biking and am really excited about Get On and the fact that anyone can now have a go on bikes and scooters for free.

I think a lot of people have thought about trying it but weren’t sure where to go or what to do. Now all they have to do is go to the Get On website, find their nearest Get On training centre, and go and try biking for free it’s genius!

The taster session was great fun and will give newcomers a feeling of the freedom that life on two wheels gives you it was great to try it in a controlled environment under expert tuition.

Steve Kenward, MCI Chief Executive, commented, Biking offers so many advantages for the public, ranging from the thrill and excitement of being on two wheels to the more practical benefits.

Get On will deliver motorcycling and scootering to a new generation of potential riders and we’re delighted that Simon Webbe was able to join us today to help mark the occasion. We want people to go to www.geton.co.uk and sign up to have a free go and to see what it’s all about for themselves.
