Diving into the depths of her identity in yet another breathtaking release, Swedish singer-songwriter-producer Shadi G shares her mesmerizing new EP Conversations Pt.1, a fusion of R&B, soul, electro and the traditional Persian sounds of her cultural heritage that proves why she is one of this year’s most intriguing up-and-comers.
Inspired by the relationships she has with friends, loved ones and even herself, Shadi has crafted a four track exploration into her character, using intricate melodies and glimmering production techniques to achieve a sound that is entirely unique. From the mystical intro of ‘Walk And The Path Appears’ to the colourful melodies of ‘All I Can Be’ and dancefloor worthy basslines of ‘Jahaie Jadid’, Shadi’s richly textured rhythms and alluring lyricism are impossible to miss, and showcasing her bilingual abilities through singing in both English and Farsi adds a beautiful depth to the release that ties in perfectly with the meaning behind it.
