Scott Lloyd has been on a journey of rediscovery, taking an unconventional step away from the bustle of the music industry towards the serenity of the countryside and reconnecting with his creativity along the way. Stunning new single Miss You Dearly comes as the lead track from Scott’s 2nd studio album Waterlands. Inspired by the serenity of rural landscapes, the new record journeys through themes of growing up, mental health and loss, and Miss You Dearly is a poignant farewell letter to the stifling lifestyle that Scott had been chasing.

During the lockdown in 2020, he has moved to the countryside, switched his “day job” to gardening and Miss You Dearly feels like a celebratory and cathartic declaration that he’s on the right path.

Scott reveals: “Miss You Dearly is about me turning my back on certain aspects of a music career that weren’t having a good effect on me. Although pursuing music as a full time job and playing cover gigs to pay the bills seemed like the best option initially, after doing that for a few years I found it to be stressful financially and also detrimental to my creativity. I took the decision to switch my income to being a gardener and now I’m the happiest I’ve ever felt.
