Quick-rising rapper/singer/producer Kaliib has returned with his brilliant new single, Famous. Originally from Denver and raised in Atlanta, Kaliib has released over 30 singles since making his debut back in 2018 and has already impressed us with previous releases, such as Toxic and Easy. But Famous is his strongest and most confident track to date.
Co-produced by Kaliib, Famous showcases his ability to both rap and sing, as well as highlighting his production prowess and polished songwriting skills, with the track immediately standing out for its incredibly addictive hook and melodies. Drawing you in with Kaliib’s relatable and autobiographical lyrics about accomplishing dreams, it’s a track with endless replay value.
Speaking more on the new release, Kaliib says: “Famous is really about putting off distractions in order to focus on achieving your dreams. Although the interaction described in the song really happened, the takeaway should be to not let anything or anyone take your mind off your goals…even if they are drop-dead gorgeous.”
With the release of Famous, Kaliib has made it clear that he’s an artist with an exciting future ahead of him and an artist worth paying close attention to. Writing and producing his own music and releasing via his own label, New Sound Order (NSO), this DIY artist is sure to make some huge noise in the hip-hop scene over the next year as he unveils more music, and we can’t wait to hear what’s next.
