East London lyricist RAPTUM has already showcased has made a number of splashes on the scene with his powerful and unique previous singles ‘Belly’ and ‘New Jack Swing’ – However, it’s on Polemics, produced by Epik the Dawn, that we hear him at his rawest, with a unique flow against the backdrop of a gloriously simple production.
Showcasing a varied output, RAPTUM’s catalog showcases different styles and sonic backgrounds for his unique flow. RAPTUM is taking his production and lyrical talent straight into the future. As always, the single will be self-released on his own Crud Groove, a label that shares its name with the self-coined genre the artist operates in.
Talking on the new single Polemics, the Leyton-Based emcee and producer says this track is a “by-product of pent up frustrations in a seemingly never-ending lockdown. I was forced to confront myself, the world I live in and every iota of my existence, all within the four walls of my mind”.
