Canadian hip-hop artist Q052 brings his raw, politically charged live show to the UK this May, with dates in London and Brighton around The Great Escape.
The run opens on 12 May at Strongroom Bar / Canada House in London, followed by The Brunswick in Brighton on 14 May and The Great Escape on 16 May. It marks a major UK step after shows alongside Cypress Hill and festival appearances across Canada.
Born Quentin Condo and raised in Gesgapegiag, Gaspésie, Q052 takes his name from the initial of his first name and 052, the number assigned to his Indigenous First Nations community. Now based in Sherbrooke, Canada, he builds a sound where hip-hop, grunge, alternative rock, spoken word, and punk energy collide.
His work confronts Indigenous identity, social justice, personal struggle, and the protection of Indigenous women and girls, earning support from BBC Radio 6 Music’s Don Letts, NPR Music, and Radio Canada, plus Best Male Hip-Hop Artist at the 2023 International Indigenous Hip-Hop Awards.
Q052 shared:
I’m super stoked to go over to the UK. The scene over there is raw and unapologetic, the punk scene is alive, it’s raw, people understand the concept of having to speak loud and to be real to ask for change. I hope it opens doors to go play with my whole band in the future!
With these UK dates, Q052 brings Indigenous hip-hop into a live circuit built for volume, confrontation, and purpose.
