Prince of Sweden’s EP Kicking Out Time is really something else – it has meaningful and relatable lyrics and a strong aura that engulfs you.

The View From The Top Rope is a great way to roll out the EP – it has a rich, mellow sound with dreamy and melancholic vibrations. Originally from the countryside but now based in South London, Prince of Sweden shares, “The song’s about recollections of childhood, I guess. Things that stick in your mind and the sound of the TV in the background with the wrestling on.”

To us the 4-tracks convey the emotion of being left with loneliness and yearning after a long night. A mix of melancholy and intimacy – the perfect soundtrack for your way home.

The EP delivers a smooth blend of indie rock, northern soul, melancholic singer-songwriter tunes and outlaw country pulses. In addition, the lyrics are quite detailed and complex.

Prince of Sweden’s first EP Live from a Dark Room and Garrison Lane single dropped in 2020 and 2021, respectively, and now his latest work Kicking Out Time takes it up a notch – undoubtedly his most polished project so far.
