TROUBLED heiress Paris Hilton is travelling to Ireland in a bid find out if she is related to British pop star Lily Allen.
The reality TV star will attend the Flatlake Literary Festival in County Monaghan later this month – an event organised by Allen’s uncle Kevin – to research her family tree.
Actor Keith Allen, Lily’s father said: “We believe Paris wants to come to the festival which is at my in-laws’ place at Hilton Park, to check out her Irish ancestry. They may be related”. The festival will host a Damien Hirst Art charity auction, Paris’ favourite conceptual artist, and organisers expect the American starlet to attend. Telephone bids are banned so Paris will have to bid in person to scoop the coveted pieces at Hilton Park.
And she may well search for distant relatives. Rumour has it that Paris’ great grandfather, oil tycoon, Waylon Hilton, is a descendent of the Hilton dynasty and by accessing the family archives she could well return to the US with clear evidence of her illustrious family lineage.
She may need one of her long lost relatives to put her up for the night as the grand Georgian Hilton House is fully booked.
Celebrity attendees Neil Jordan, Sinead O’Connor, Colm Toibin and Welsh actor, Rhys Ifans, are all refusing to give up their four-poster rooms for the American. Organisers said: “We’re now busy trying to find suitable local B&B accommodation for the charismatic model, should she decide to make the trip. One enthusiastic bachelor, Bobby Brogan, has even offered to build
a small extension for her on his Scotshouse dairy farm, guaranteeing that it will be ready in time for her visit”
