After a summer of major stages — Roskilde included — and a Danish Music Award win, Øyunn pushes forward with intent.
I Know U Can Do It delivers eight sharp tracks of breakbeats, rap, vocals, and groove-led momentum, driven by emotional clarity and hard-earned self-belief.

The record moves through old wounds, relationships, self-care, shame, joy, loss, and love — but never sinks. A quiet optimism runs through it, grounded in the idea that encouragement, inward and outward, is an act of survival. Øyunn explains:
I see creating music as a process of liberation. Turning personal experience into something universal — something that moves.
That mindset shapes the sound. Co-produced with Brian Batz and longtime collaborators Jens Mikkel Madsen and Kasper Staub, I Know U Can Do It balances discipline and instinct — electronics, analog synths, live drums, and vocals moving freely, with emotion in the lead.

Øyunn’s grip on the record is total. As drummer, rapper, singer, lyricist, and composer, she treats genre as material rather than boundary.

Since Aspects picked up a Danish Music Award and a Tivoli Jazz Award — with GAFFA drawing Björk comparisons — Øyunn has steadily reshaped the idea of a genre-fluid artist. Collaborations with Efterklang, Nils Frahm, Bugge Wesseltoft, and Sam Gendel show the range; I Know U Can Do It turns that experience inward, landing more personal, focused, and self-assured than ever.
This album offers encouragement. Direct, human, and hard-earned. Sometimes that’s the loudest statement of all.
