Brooklyn, NY based duo Opal Onyx, release their debut album, ‘Delta Sands’, later this spring on Tin Angel Records.
Lead single and album opener ‘Black & Crimson’, is a intriguingly alluring track. The vocals feel ghostlike and heavy, that leads us through a wonderfully dark hazy dream world…“When doves release you can finally see. You don’t even need it. You’re caught in a feeling”…
Opal Onyx’s – Sarah Nowicki (vocals, guitar, mpc), Mathew Robinson (cello, synth, lap steel) – songs are ambiguous, conceptually. But, within the ambiguity there is a curious sense of familiarity, as if the music is some kind of found relic, or pulled from a dusty archive, and yet it is entirely new…relentlessly dreamlike.
