Noah Kahan will release Draw You Out on 2 October as the lead single from The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album). Written specifically for the film, the track reunites him with Aaron Dessner, who co-wrote and co-produced it across sessions in New York and Nashville.
The collaboration puts songwriting at the centre of the film’s music rollout. Kahan and Dessner previously worked together on The Great Divide; here, they have built a new song around the world of Sunrise on the Reaping, rather than contributing an existing recording. Draw You Out is available to pre-save now.
The 29-track album, executive produced by Dave Cobb, arrives via MCA on 13 November, one week before the film’s 20 November cinema release. Its full artist lineup has yet to be revealed, but the project is set to bring together 29 artists across genres, with previously unreleased music made for the film.
Directed by Francis Lawrence and based on Suzanne Collins’ novel, Sunrise on the Reaping follows a 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy into the 50th Hunger Games. The story takes place 24 years before the original film, giving the soundtrack a new chapter of Panem to interpret.
Draw You Out lands on 2 October. More details on the album are expected ahead of its November release.
