Here’s a whopper of track to get “carried away” into the weekend with!

Dance music producer Nicky Roland and singer Royden Vigilance have just unveiled a razor-sharp drum and bass collaboration, titled Carried Away.

This rollicking EDM fusion track is tightly produced, highly inventive, and memorable. It’s a harmonious and dynamic fusion of styles that radiates positive energy. Shimmering synths, gripping beats, and sharp basslines provide a riveting backdrop for Vigilance’s velvety smooth vocal performance of beatific lyricism. Ultra-satisfying whomp-whomp sounds intersperse with a myriad of cleverly-placed motifs while Vigilance’s vocals glide effortlessly like a bird above the varying sonic landscape.

Have a listen for yourself:

Describing the collaboration, Roland explained:

“Despite our House music background, this direction showcases our musical synergy and transatlantic influences, delivering an adrenaline-pumping experience.”

An innovative force on the Chicago House scene, Roland is based in Denver but hails originally from London, where he worked with legendary underground party group Coalesce Sound & Vision, organising what The Face and ID magazines labeled as some of the best house nights in the UK, before moving on to Los Angeles. His specialties include eclectic retro House, Techno, EDM and Drum and Bass.

Guyanese-born American singer Royden Vigilance meanwhile demonstrates idiosyncratic vocals and artistic productions that demand attention.
