This track daringly expands the original to about double its length, where Mortenissimo not only preserves the essence of Debussy’s work but also enhances it with his own compositions, seamlessly blending the classical with innovative elements.
This release sets the stage for his album, Debussy [extended]. Mortenissimo’s Clair de Lune extension skillfully balances fidelity to Debussy’s original with fresh, creative flair, appealing to both classical purists and modern explorers.
With Clair de Lune, Debussy penned a masterpiece that resonates profoundly with Mortenissimo, echoing the harmonies of his own creative soul.
With Clair de Lune [extended], I wanted to pay homage to Debussy’s genius while also pushing the boundaries of classical music by infusing it with my own elements. I hope listeners will find the extended version as enchanting and moving as the original.
