Austin Jay is one of LA’s best-kept secrets. Originally from Manhattan but now based in L.A., he combines the charm and style of a modern pop star with the hard-hitting sound of rock and trap.

Following up his successful releases, Loving on You and Things You’ll Never Know, Austin Jay has finally dropped his self-titled debut EP – available everywhere now.

This project was made with the help of Caleb Hulin and T Black – two well-known producers who have worked with famous artists like Avril Lavigne, Demi Lovato, Hip Hop Atlanta, Marques Houston and Pitbull. Austin’s latest sound comes alive in this EP – a mix of alternative pop/punk tunes and progressive trap vibes.

He says “The EP is about not conforming to what society says you have to be and creating your own lane in life.”

Demented is the EP’s standout track, with its blend of edgy guitars and Austin’s captivating voice. It serves to comment on the lack of excitement in today’s relationships.

Demented set the tone for the entire EP,” reveals Austin. “It was the first song I worked on with my incredibly talented producer Caleb Hulin, and we connected right away, making the song in our very first session. It’s the song that really established and cemented my sound moving forward, with its mix of alternative pop/punk and modern trap music. I wrote it coming from a place of angst. I think modern-day romantic relationships are too casual, you know? I’m not a casual person. I’m a romantic at heart, and I miss the old-fashioned, dramatic, infatuated romance from old books and movies I love. Demented is about my problems with casual relationships and how so many people today are afraid or unwilling to truly commit and call it love.”

He’s a real crowd-pleaser, enjoying success as the frontman of popular band ‘Earth to Mars’. Austin Jay will take a cross-country trip this summer and perform in some famous places like Revolution Live, Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach.
