Meet Anuladé

Written when Anulade was undergoing radiotherapy while being treated for DCIS, an early form of breast cancer it aims to inspire strength and resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

Tell us everything about the new single Just Breathe.

I wrote Just Breathe 3 years ago while I was halfway through radiotherapy treatment for DCIS. The songs is my interpretation of experiencing the disease and how I found the courage and strength to drive me forward with my dream to release my debut album.

Your personal health issue can be a motivation for other women with DCIS, an early form of breast cancer. How do you feel when you sing this track.

Every time I sing  Just Breathe I feel so proud of myself and how I handled an unsettling time in my life. The experience drives me forward and has given me the strength and courage to face any challenges I may have in the future.

Why did you pick your artist’s name?

Anuladé means “A new vessel” I am constantly evolving, growing and learning through my life experiences. Anuladé is a pseudonym, my Avatar, my freedom of expression and enables me to be creative without limitations.

When did you start writing music and singing?

I started singing in my cot as a baby, but I started writing stories in my early teens and this developed into songwriting over the last 10 years.

Could you briefly describe the music-making process for your tracks?

I write all of my songs at home with my guitar and then follow this by taking my songs into the recording studio with my music producers.

Really liked the video. Share with us the concept behind it.

The music video is my interpretation of how I could escape into my imagination. The projected images of my Art display how I used my creativity to find inner peace.

I see that you are a visual artist as well. Talk a bit more about it. How do you find time to combine everything?

I’m a prolific artist.  I always make time every day for me to be creative. Life is my muse and I love taking the time to create something from my imagination.
