Hi Alex Bayly! please introduce yourselves to our readers:
Hi I’m an alternative-folk artist from the UK!
What’s your new single I’ll Never Leave You all about?
I’ll Never Leave You is the story of a person professing their love and commitment to a relationship, but as time passes they become aware of the outside world and other extraneous factors having an effect on their state of mind and their relationship.
You’re playing at London’s Big Indie Big Nights soon! Are you excited?
Yep I can’t wait to play live next week. I’m playing with a 6 piece band and it should be a great night.
What’s your favourite thing about performing live?
It’s great to perform songs that I’ve written and recorded by myself with a full live band. It really brings the songs to life and I’m lucky to play alongside some really talented musicians.
Who are your biggest influences?
My influences include 60s UK folk artists like Nick Drake and David Graham and current Americana artists like Kevin Morby and Andy Shauf.
If you could collaborate with anyone, alive or dead, who would it be?
What’s been you favourite venue to perform in London?
Ronnie Scotts or The Sebright Arms in Bethnal Green.
Where do you see yourself in ten years time?
I’d love to be doing the same thing, making music and playing live!
Any festivals planned this summer?
Yes I’m playing an all day festival in London at the Old Queens Head called Hurl All Dayer and I’ve got more to announce soon. Watch this space!
