The short-film’s sinister loopy tone explore the things we tell ourselves to make our lives worth living. It’s a story about the anxieties of identity in the new millennium.

Morucci explains: “The visual flair I’ve chosen for telling this story, it’s a puzzle of moving images with a “Bauhaus” twist that renders it an uncanny quality that I consider faithful to the creepiness of the report.
DOPPELGÄNGER: It’s a ghostly copy or even real (double) of a living person. The term doppelgänger is borrowed from German and refers more commonly the so-called evil twin. MAE: suffers from narcissistic personality disorder. Her life is at the stage where she is trying to re-configure her identity, transforming her innermost self. She experiences this transformation as persecutory. In short, she’s a woman on the edge, at risk of losing control of herself.

JAY: is a cynical-hedonist. Her character is dominant, quasi-masculine. She has made a banner of her existential failure, in the name of which she is convinced enough to
proselytize. She conceives of friendship as a battleground.DOPPEL10t-posterIn an age where people want to believe they’re special and unique the realization that we’re just like everyone else might be the most destructive of all.
