Shawn Mendes has expanded his partnership with Martin Guitar through two new full-size acoustic models, including a limited-edition build and a more accessible performance version shaped by the vintage Martin he uses for songwriting.
Mendes says:
Martin guitars are my first go-to guitar to pick up when I’m making a song. They feel like they have a story in them. They feel like they have songs in them.
Limited to 88 instruments worldwide, the 000-28 pairs East Indian rosewood back and sides with a spruce top, scalloped X-bracing, herringbone trim, a slotted headstock, gold Waverly tuners, and a custom mother-of-pearl eagle inlay.

The Road Series 000-10E brings the concept to a wider group of players, using FSC-certified tonewoods, a solid spruce top, solid sapele back and sides, and Martin E1 electronics with a built-in tuner.
Both guitars carry design details drawn from Mendes’ vintage instrument, including a pyramid-style bridge and custom-shaped pickguard. Mendes explains:
It’s super important to me to have more than one option — a more accessible guitar for people and one that is closer to the thing that I play onstage.
The collaboration also supports the Shawn Mendes Foundation, which works with youth-led organisations and young changemakers.
For FM PRO TECH, the release sits beyond standard artist merchandise. It shows how signature instruments can connect artist identity, songwriting workflow, sustainable materials, product design, and different levels of player access within one collaboration.
