Don’t let anyone dim your light. The downplayers, the naysayers, anything that drains your energy—let it Go and Glow.
Born in Lawrence, just north of Boston, independent recording artist Maria Rosa is coming out with no compromise. A very energetic performer, she has a unique stage presence and imitable energy; she moves with the beat and sings catchy tunes with cadences that are not easily definable to a particular genre. It has been two decades in the making, and Maria Rosa is finally ready to make her long-awaited official debut, a testimony that dreams may be delayed, but they are never denied.
Maria Rosa makes a bold entrance with her debut single, Glow—a fusion of Pop, Afrobeat, reggaeton, and hip-hop. The track was created by Maria Rosa, aka La Kakiee and was produced by Mike Midura At CyberSound Studios, Boston MA. Maria shares about the track:
Keep friends close, enemies closer? Forget that—I keep them all on a coaster. Anything toxic, let it go and Glow. Fake and phony folks, hateful comments, toxic relationships—let them Go and Glow because we all shine bright. Don’t let anyone dim your light. The downplayers, the naysayers, anything that drains your energy—let it Go and Glow. Even bad habits or unhealthy choices—let them go because you shine so bright.

Maria knew music was her calling from an early age. She mastered piano, guitar, and songwriting before recording her first tracks in 2004. Life’s challenges—loss, trauma, and motherhood—paused her journey, but now, with her children as her most prominent supporters, she’s returning more potent than ever. As her daughter wisely told her:
Mom, that was the right decision—that’s why you’re so good.
Maria Rosa is no stranger to the stage, from church choirs and festivals to nightclubs. A former Boston Celtics cheerleader (2003–2007), her confidence and energy make her a powerhouse ready to own both the stage and airwaves.
From hard-hitting beats to soulful depth and a voice that must not go unnoticed, Maria Rosa is set to write her own story in the music industry. She enters the scene with it, Glow, not only as an artist but as a force to be reckoned with. Maria Rosa is finally here.
