Manchester Rising Star SVMI Unveils New P.O.P (HOLD IT DOWN) Single And Video

“This video was funny, there was a lot of memories behind it, a lot of work that went into it, and a lot of good people that helped make it come alive. There are some people in the video I don’t even talk to anymore, but that’s why the vid is so special cos it just has loads of different moments from different times that make it a whole vibe. Visually, it looks crazy as well, Archie went crazy on the edit as usual and shown why he’s one of the hardest coming out”.

Manchester artist SVMI has just released a brand new energetic track titled P.O.P (Hold It Down), the single also got its own music video that is also out now. The song starts off with a voice and some groovy and electronic sounds, then quickly comes the rapper’s voice and with his melodic rap flow – the song is perfect for chilling with your friends during a night out. Regards the lyrics the rapper talks about money, life, and relationships, and also traveling which is something we all wish to do in these times. Really how a vacation is needed.

With these melodic rap vibes and some R&B touches, the rapper proves to us again that his talent doesn’t stop to rapping, because he also sings in a smooth way the chorus, adding nearly a pop touch to it. This song shows how the artist has evolved compared to his last tracks and how he is evolving lyrically too. The lyrics here are thought through and relatable for some listeners.

For the music video, Archie Erskine was at the visuals, and the final product is quite something. Filming in a retro way with an undefined frame which gives it a sort of old-time vibes, the music video follows the rapper throughout the night. Some of the transitions and special effects make the video pleasant to watch and to follow. Following him at a party with some friends, taking a take-out, and basically enjoying himself in the city of London. And something else we notice in this music video, are the lyrics in Arabic and in English, which is quite uncommon.

As SVMI explained regarding the making of the music video: “This video was funny, there was a lot of memories behind it, a lot of work that went into it, and a lot of good people that helped make it come alive. There are some people in the video I don’t even talk to anymore, but that’s why the vid is so special cos it just has loads of different moments from different times that make it a whole vibe. Visually, it looks crazy as well, Archie went crazy on the edit as usual and shown why he’s one of the hardest coming out”.
