Following his latest single P.O.P (Hold it Down), rising star SVMI is back on track with his brand new offering MILAN. Produced by artist’s long-time collaborator LiTek, whose name s behind works of Rag’n’Bone Man, Bugzy Malone, Central Cee, the track is the first glance of SVMI’s highly-anticipated debut EP Ma Mood, which is due to be out this month via NQ Records.

The fresh single is accompanied by a high-quality music video released on SVMI’s official YouTube channel. The visuals show the rapper spitting his carefree bars while flexing to the beat in front of his private jet and open tip Bentley. Fantastic visual effects together with lit editing do a great job in transmitting vibes of a hit song.

SVMI spoke with us on his inspiration behind MILAN music video: “the track is me wanting to get out of town to escape the drama and negativity. I was tired of people getting onto me for doing music, and you can hear me responding on the verses. There was a lot going on when I made this song, from girl trouble to dealing with jealousy and spite, and the track perfectly captured my frame of mind. I wrote the song just when I was making that transition into being an artist and that’s not as easy as people think. Sometimes you just want to drop everything and fly away”.

SVMI broke into the Manchester scene as a teenager creating captivating music videos for the likes of Aitchand Izzie Gibbs. A couple of years ago he began making his own music and has already amassed nearly 5 million plays, bolstered by his last summer breakthrough single ‘Bait Lies’ as well as his other fan favourites ‘Old Friends’ and ‘Timeout’.

SVMI shows no signs of slowing down! His critically-acclaimed art is proving the artist to be the one to watch in the UK music scene this year.
