Releasing their debut album, Mainline gives a contemporary feel to classic rock showcasing the range of rock music that has inspired their sound over the course of the ten tracks on “The Unholy Idol”. The album really allows Mainline to truly shine and make an impact on the rock music scene – one we won’t soon forget.
This four-piece rock group – consisting of Johnny Iodice, Anthony Schettino, Devin Reck, and Mason Servedio – bring a unique aesthetic to rock music, making quite the staple statement. They’ve been heavily influenced by classic rock artists such as Iron Maiden, KISS, Metallica,
Ozzy Osbourne, Thin Lizzy, and Black Sabbath, whilst mixing in sounds from the more popular modern rock artists such as Måneskin, Papa Roach, Shinedown, Alter Bridge, and Arcade Fire. This debut album incorporates what we love from the unforgettable classic rock bands with the current popular modern sound.
High energy runs throughout the ten tracks, the thrashy instrumental chords strike rhythmically, pumping the blood through our veins and allowing each band member to shine and showcase their musical ability, with the title track “The Unholy Idol” standing out incredibly. The sound matches Johnny Iodice’s vocals brilliantly really honing the songs into us deeply and passionately.
It’s difficult not to be impressed by Mainline’s ability, with “Cold Sweat”, “Out Of The Shadows”, and “No Warnings, No Signs” being tracks you really need to listen to, alongside the title track, of course. This debut album follows up their self-titled EP which was released in 2020. They are set to continue to make an impact in the music industry as they release more new music and perform all across New York.
“The Unholy Idol” album was recorded at Frightbox Recording Studio in Clifton, NJ, mixed and mastered by Bobby Torres and engineered by Bobby Torres, Brianna Testa, and Ben Karas.
Talking about the album, Mainline said: “We cross contemporary with classic rock in a unique way; we have the aesthetic of a modern rock band, but our sound is rooted in rock history and reminiscent of the classic bands that everyone loves. It is all just part of who we are as rock fans and what we would want to see and hear from other rock artists in this era.”
