Ethereal-pop artist MAGUIRE has released her debut EP ‘Preludes’ and it’s a five track collection of melancholy bliss. The project contains three brand new songs including opening release ‘Behind The Screen’ and most recent track ‘Fallible’ both of which drew comparisons between MAGUIRE and the likes of PJ Harvey and Thom Yorke.

It’s emotional yet intriguing, lyrically probing questions about the human condition of loneliness, intimacy and desire.

MAGUIRE said: “’The lead track, ‘Strangers’ ponders the paradox of being intimate with a complete stranger, and explores the disparity between the real version of such a fleeting and passionate encounter and our memory of it after. The temptation to romanticise people and events raises questions about the subjective nature of reality and our perception of it, made all the more subjective when it comes to matters of the heart.”

She is currently in the studio with Liam Howe (Lana Del Rey, FKA twigs) working on future releases.
