Glittering pop track FaceTiming Mom, sees former child singing sensation and YouTube pioneer Maddi Jane break away from young persona and evolve into a rising pop idol.
After bursting onto the scene at just 12 years old, hitting #34 on the Billboard Charts and appearing on The Ellen Show, Maddi took time to refine her sound and master her craft. Now 10 years on as a singer-songwriter (with the seal of approval from Lil’ Wayne) Maddi is back in a big way.
Following the June release of Just Love, Maddi’s musical maturity shines with FaceTiming Mom, flowing effortlessly from warm piano melodies to glittering pop rhythms. Anchored by a magnetic chord progression, her raw lyrics delve into the relatable challenges of moving to a new city.
“FaceTiming Mom is a seemingly upbeat pop song, but don’t let the catchy rhythm fool you.” Maddi explains. “This song was written during my darkest days in Los Angeles as an artist. After being thrown around in the music industry throughout my childhood, this is a song about redemption and not giving up, regardless of who comes against you. Sometimes FaceTiming Mom is the best thing to do.”
Maddi’s new track is a true testament to the dedication and hard work she has put in over her teen years. We can’t wait to see what’s next.
