LIZA ANNE Returns With Satirical Indie Rock Bop Tune BAD VACATION

Focused on the joyous feeling of freeing yourself from an unhealthy relationship, the bold and frenetic synth-driven track takes you on a literal Bad Vacation, a trip which Liza uses to compare a taxing relationship with.“You were a long bad vacation, a hotel with a view but I just stayed in.”

The release follows Liza’s soaring offering Desire released last month, and continues the striking new sound Liza has adopted following on from her 2018 breakthrough album Fine But Dyin’.

Co-produced by Kyle Ryan (Kacey Musgraves, Natalie Prass), Micah Tawlks (Louis Prince, COIN) and Liza herself, ‘Bad Vacation’ is full of dizzying arrangements of guitars and synths with a driving rhythm section to hold the track down. A willy wonka feeling lead motif, coming in just after the manic chorus of “I am in love with this feeling, Oh my god, are there no ceilings?”, completes the track perfectly.

Liza said: “Writing this song was a mental playground for me – turning pain into satire and imaging a hope-filled world with no ceilings – I wanted to bottle up that electricity that happens when you’re free of something taxing.”
