Paddy Power have installed Steven Spielberg’s latest masterpiece ‘Lincoln’ as their 8/15 favourite for the Best Picture Oscar.
The biopic is followed in the betting by ‘Les Miserables’ and ‘Zero Dark Thirty’ which are at 4/1 and 11/2 respectively while ‘Argo’ which once topped the betting is now an outside bet of 6/1.
Elsewhere, the film’s star Daniel Day Lewis and director Steven Spielberg and odds on to win their respective categories with Tommy Lee Jones available at 6/5 to win the Best Supporting Actor gong.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said “Abraham Lincoln was no stranger in topping the polls and our odds would suggest that the film that bares his name is set to do the same amongst the Academy’s voters.”
