Hailing from Asheville, NC, Liam Harrell is an incredibly talented solo artist. He’s been gradually creating a solid foundation in the Indie Lo-fi scene; now he has come up with something special with his luxurious EP Las Vegas, which deals with love, loss and mourning. These 3 tracks are an absolute delight with lots of intricate layers and a heavenly soundscape.

Harrell‘s music is a perfect mix of fascinating, poetic vibes and refreshingly unique sounds. It combines airy MIDI instruments with folk tones. Liam’s describing the EP’s fascination with the primary concept of drifting, which he really digs and describes as ‘being at peace but also scared because you don’t really know where you’ll end up.’

The lead single from their EP, I Am The Tide, creates an atmosphere of utter serenity with its airy guitar riffs and multiple vocal layers. Eggshells and Las Vegas were two tracks released during Winter ’22 that got a lot of attention and love. The music is very tranquil and soothing.

He created Las Vegas in his own home studio – it was just him and the music. This type of solitude allowed him to be honest and emotionally powerful in his music.

This past year, 2022 – says Harrellwas one of the hardest years for me, but I learned a lot about myself and who I want to be. The lyrics to these songs seemed to pour from me. I let my subconscious mind flow throughout this project, and these songs are the result of that.’

Harrell first got into music when he was a teenager and quickly started producing, recording and writing his own tunes in his bedroom – music has been a big part of his life ever since. At just 16 years old, he already had a pretty impressive setup!

He starts off by playing organic instruments like guitar and piano, then adds layers of synths to create the perfect blend. He’s been inspired by artists such as Mallrat and Phoebe Bridgers when creating his music style.
