Announce joint tour with double nights in Manchester and London

Liam Gallagher and John Squire, renowned figures from Manchester’s music scene, have sparked significant excitement with their new collaboration. Their debut track, Just Another Rainbow, has already made a strong impact, reaching #16 on the UK singles chart and topping sales, downloads, vinyl, and physical singles charts. This collaboration marks Gallagher’s highest chart entry in fifteen years.

The duo has now announced their self-titled debut album, set for release on March 1st, accompanied by a second single, Mars To Liverpool. They have also unveiled plans for their first UK tour, with additional shows in Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, and the USA.

Liam Gallagher expressed his enthusiasm for the album, believing fans of both The Stone Roses and Oasis will love it. John Squire reflected on the creative process, noting the blend of melancholic and irreverent elements in their music. Their latest single, Mars To Liverpool, continues the trend of delivering engaging rock ‘n’ roll with a touch of ‘60s psychedelia.

Liam says, “I can’t wait for people to hear the album. I think the people that are into the Stone Roses and Oasis and that kinda thing, I think they’ll fucking love it. It’s spiritual, it’s crucial. LG x”

John adds, “It was really inspiring to have those Knebworth gigs fresh in my mind as I started writing. Then it was a case of trying to steer it away from all being too rocky, and trying to mix up the sentiments as well. I like the way that in some parts, it’s quite melancholic and it can make you well up, but there are other parts that are kind of irreverent, rude or crude. There’s a little bit of everything in there, I think it’s a really good mix. I had a hunch that we’d sound good together, but I wasn’t prepared for it to be such a good fit.”

The album, shaped in Los Angeles with producer Greg Kurstin, features Liam and John leading a band with Barrie Cadogan on bass and Joey Waronker on drums. Pre-orders for the album are open, with various physical formats available, and fans pre-ordering by January 30th will gain early access to tour tickets.

The tour will feature special guest Jake Bugg in all locations except Brooklyn. The scheduled dates include stops in Glasgow, Wolverhampton, Dublin, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds, London, Paris, Berlin, Milan, and Brooklyn. The album’s tracklist promises a diverse range of songs, showcasing the unique synergy between Gallagher and Squire.
