New single Stuck in My Shoes floats in that space between motion and freeze: elastic vocals, glitch-kissed textures, a heartbeat loop you can drift to and still feel in your chest. Written at 16 in a one-take jam, it holds the vertigo of early self-awareness — wanting answers while you’re still finding the questions. Vann explains:
Stuck in My Shoes is the sort of song you can drift, reflect, and dance to at the same time. I’ve always wrestled with my own contradiction: wanting to explain myself but not having the words, feeling pressure to look like I know what I’m doing.. This song was one of the first I’d ever written, probably aged 16 or so. It came out of a spontaneous jam, recorded quickly, and it still captures that raw, dizzy feeling that spawned it.
Vann’s universe is surreal, cinematic, and close to the bone. In Color proves this isn’t escapism — it’s truth from orbit, where everything familiar turns strange and every feeling hits harder.
