Calling all independent/unsigned bands and artists – The Unsigned Music Awards wants you! And…London-based TV presenter, Irish beauty Laura Whitmore and BBC Radio 1, Scott Mills-approved Chris Stark are the lovely faces of this new talent discovery show designed to reward, surface and fund the next big thing.
The world’s first televised Unsigned Music Awards show, is taking place on 27 October 2016 at Troxy Theatre, London.
Laura comments: “I am delighted to be hosting the first ever Unsigned Music Awards. Music is a huge passion of mine, so naturally, I’m very excited to discover lots of new unsigned talent and support the stars of the future”.

UMA’s CEO Simon O’Kelly says: “The team and I are really excited for Chris and Laura to host the debut show for UMA. They have also recently announced a unique funding scheme with Stephen Pell (former business manager to Calvin Harris) and Chris Carey (former Global Insight Director at Universal Music and EMI) which will enable new musical talent to bypass traditional label services. As well as bringing new money into the music industry, the fund aims to maximize earnings for artists while allowing them to retain 100% of their rights and creative control. UMA will work together with their artists, along with a team of industry experts, to give them the best possible chance for success and a sustainable career in music.
