Dazzling Munich based indie-pop quartet open up about their sophomore 80s inspired pop, indie and disco album ‘good luck’ due February 2020.
What was the first album you bought?
The Police – Regatta de Blanc
Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations and why?
Again The Police for their Songwriting and musicality. Foals for their incredible live energy. Parcels for their groove and tightness.
What are some non-musical inspirations that motivate your music?
I enjoy books like “The why are you here cafe“ and quest-loves “creative quests“ and “mixtape potluck“. First series I got stuck to was “The Sopranos“ still one of my favourites and we quoted them in our song “On The Run“.
Of course our friends are a great inspiration too, cooking with friends can be really creative. Lots of coffee and mate-tea too.
Tell us about your new single for ‘Go Out’?
Go out is a song that throws us right back to our teenage days. Life was way easier. After school we’d just ring on each others doorbells and hang out. No smartphones needed. No group chats, no voice memos or video chats. If we couldn’t just go out, we called on this thing called the landline telephone. Some of you may still know it. So we feel ‘Go Out‘ is a throwback song, lots of nostalgia, good memories and it’s definitely gonna be a banger live.
What can we expect from you in 2020
Our new album “good luck“ – out February 28. One more single before. Our “good luck“ tour through Europe with shows in London, Berlin, Vienna and Zurich. Festivals and hopefully more music in the Summer. Thanks so much for the questions!
