The musical endeavor of Canadian Olivia Street, indie-rock outfit King of Foxes kick-off 2022 with the irresistibly catchy indie-leaning track ‘Doomed to Repeat’. Co-produced by multiple Juno nominee Stew Kirkwood, the new track sees Olivia deliver a galvanizing feel-good indie-rock track that features blissful saxophone and trumpets sections in the song’s outro.   Known for her poetical and evocative lyricism, Olivia explores themes of repeating past mistakes, self-destructive tendencies, and the lure of things that are bad for us.

When asked about the new single, she described that “There’s an oft-repeated phrase about letting go of “all the things which no longer serve you.” It’s way easier said than done. I’ve often found myself stuck in the messy intersection between my needs and the realities of the situation I find myself in. Like Sisyphus, you might be pushing the same rock up the same mountain every day. Something has to give.”
