KingKhan2-1King Khan & The Shrines share this amazing ‘Road Tape’ ahead of their April’s UK & Ireland tour. From Chain & The Gang to Link Wray to so much more…:

King Khan himself has a message for all fans:

Dear Listeners,

King Khan & Simon Wojan of the Sensational Shrines have made a beautiful mix of music for you to listen to. We like to call it our road tape and we hope you listen to it while getting lost somewhere on a highway, or bi-way, or gay-way.

The music we put on this tape comes from all over the world and all over time. We’ve put together a majestic set of songs that will always move us in dreams and while we are awake.

We hope that you will discover some things you have never heard of before, after all isn’t that what makes life so precious? The eternal search for majestic sounds abound!!!!

We are coming on tour soon and we hope that this tape inspires you to join us on the road and help us make the world a more liveable, loveable and a less medieval place.

Let’s try and make the future beautiful rather than propelling it into the old heinous ways that it seems to be moving.

So with those words aside, please enjoy this majestic music and stay on the good foot…..

Your pal,

King Bama Lama Khan

Their album “Idle No More” (out now via Merge Records) is sweat-drenched, ass shaking, has groovy, psyched-out numbers, and comes complete with rip roaring horn lines, southern fried guitar riffs and lysergic melodies…a triumph!
