Norway’s Eurovision darlings KEiiNO’s latest track is a Halloween-infused explosion of pop, rock, and a little techno. End of Time (Taste of Heaven) is the theatrical and expansive new single from the joik-pop trio, showing off their diverse range of genres.

With lead singer, Alexandra Rodan listed as the favourite to be voted ‘best singer in Norway’ on TV show Stjernkamp, the mixture of chant-like male and female vocals with the addition of Fred Buljo and Tom Hugo on the chorus gives the song a commanding feel amidst the descending electronic riff. The single marks a new beginning for a band that isn’t restricted in the style of music they make, while also being released alongside an eye-catching new music video.

“Oh my God it’s Armageddon” opens Alexandra, as the group explores a darker October theme for their music video costumes, not unlike the atypical outfits worn on their debut hit single Spirit in The Sky. After the success of that track, as well as at Eurovision 2019, KEiiNO have been topping Norway’s charts ever since, looking to expand to a worldwide market.

Having released the critically acclaimed debut album OKTA, three platinum singles in their native country, and getting nominated for a Norwegian Grammy, End of Time (Taste of Heaven) comes from a place of both dedicated hard work and talent. Motivated to work with indigenous artists around the world, more energized Sami joik and pop fusion can be expected before the end of the year.
