It all started when, after moving to Los Angeles at the age of 18, Kayls did what any young singer would do—connect and work with as many “industry” people as possible… Now, the Los Angeles-based intriguing electro/pop artist, presents ‘Summer’ – a sultry gem taken from her forthcoming debut EP ‘Modern Savages’ – which was produced by dark electro-pop trio BRÅVES.
So, what’s up, Kayls? What’s on your mind right now…?
I wish I could tell you, but I can’t 😉 .. so let’s just say I’m thinking about freshly squeezed orange juice and some avocado toast because it’s breakfast time.
After moving to Los Angeles at the age of 18, you started a journey that brought here….How is your approach to the music industry now?
Well, I had absolutely no clue what I was doing at 18. I was wide eyed and I had big expectations.. but I just kept going no matter the obstacle. My approach now is simple.. to create, share.. and hopefully connect.
Can you tell us everything we should know about your single ‘Summer’…And about your debut EP ‘Modern Savages’
Summer is the intro to Modern Savages. It’s really about a short passionate romance that slips through your fingers, or you feel is leaving you. There is a touch of heart break within the song, but It’s about holding onto the moment. Modern Savages, as a whole is about not settling.. in love, society, and as a woman.

Indie pop rock, I loved Kesha’s new album, and I listen to a lot of oldies

Like a dangerous flower…pretty, but edgy.
Tell us about your next show and why we should be there
I’ve been working on this debut for a while now. I hit some road blocks along the way, therefore, my next show will be super exciting because it will be the first time I share a piece of the world I’ve been creating.
The best thing about being a performer in L.A. is…
The people in LA have a great taste in music and are always eager to listen.
