East London duo CRISP&CLASSY drop lush EVEHIVE remix for ‘Gave U Life’, lifted from the forthcoming remix EP ‘The XTRA CRISPY Remixes’ due this summer.

C&C explain. “We discovered Eve through a friend and instantly got addicted to her contagious jungle beats and bass lines oozing all over the dance floor! Her remix of ‘Gave U Life’ is an uplifting, yet still a hardcore interpretation of the original. This remix brings you to the underground clubs with a fast-paced BPM that will make your heartbeat with the beat!”

What was the first album you bought?

For me, it was Spice Girls first album ‘Wannabe’. I still listen to it to this day, reminding myself of when I first discovered the word ‘Girl Power’!

Who are some of your biggest musical inspirations and why?

C&C take inspiration from many different artists, one of them being Peaches. She has always held a special place in my heart. I love her cocky and challenging lyrics that punch you in the face. She’s a fearless queen!

What are some non-musical inspirations that motivate your music?

Being creatives, we love taking inspiration from all art sorts of art forms. We love getting inspired by our favourite movies for example. The original version of ‘Gave U Life’ was actually inspired by Stanley Kubricks’ ‘The Shining’!

What have you got lined up for 2022?

We’re gonna take a long well deserved Summer break. You’ll find us on a golden sandy beach checking out all the oiled-up bodies, with sweet cooling cocktails in our hands. And then back on it again in the fall, feeling refreshed and rested!
