One year on from launching their eco-friendly personalised and printed carton board coffins, on 17th April Guernsey based ‘Creative Coffins’ featured on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross (circa 3.5 million viewers) with a tongue in cheek, full sized personalised coffin created especially for the presenter.
Taking into consideration that there have been occasions where it could be perceived that Jonathan Ross was applying the final nail to his coffin, Creative Coffins thought they would be able to save him the trouble. The presenter took the gift very well at one point joking it would be ironic if he fell over and died whilst trying out the coffin for size!
“We created a miniature coffin and wrote Jonathan Ross a letter to see whether he would be interested in featuring it on his Friday night programme. Within a couple of days I had received a phone call from the ‘Friday Night with Jonathan Ross’ team to ask for a full sized version to be sent to them right awayâ€, explains Oliver Coles, Sales Director of Creative Coffins. “The idea was a continuation of our inventive approach to PR, which has seen us feature on international websites and in international publications, in order to make people aware of our unique product. Consequently it saw thousands of additional hits to our website over the weekendâ€.
Over the last 12 months, Ross is one of hundreds of people that have had an environmentally friendly Creative Coffin; some for immediate use and some for people very much alive and planning ahead. He seemed very happy with his gift…joking at one stage that he may not need it as he is immortal!
Creative Coffins have a range of over 40 standard designs to choose from, however are happy to design a new coffin to a clients specification for no additional cost. All of their coffin designs, including Ross’s coffin, can be viewed on their website at creativecoffins.com .
