20 year old singer, songwriter and producer Joel Compass plays XOYO on Tuesday 29th April. Check out his other-worldly track ‘Forgive Me’, out NOW on Outsiders/Polydor and taken from his forthcoming debut album, ’Science’, due for release this September.
The haunting video, sees a young boy shoot his father. Joel reveals: “My mum and dad split up when I was six years-old and I didnt see my dad a lot so I could relate to some of the themes in this video”.The deeply driven and highly ambitious young producer explains: “I like to reach certain goals and never go back. So where I am now, I wont go back, ever, he points out. I know there are other artists doing a similar atmospheric R&B sound, but the music I have coming is a progression on whats come before. I hope Im making music for tomorrow, today.”
