"If I could have any superpower I would want the ability to grow a bunch of arms so I could play a bunch of musical instruments at the same time."

When asked, one-man-band Jesse Grossi unassumingly sums up his sound as “California, upbeat and fun”. His feel-good, laid-back, genre-bending tunes led by post-punk shaped vocals largely celebrate love, desire and simply having a good time. We caught up with Grossi recently as he answered some QuickFire Questions and shared the lyric video for ‘Queen of Spades’.

Where have you performed? What are your favourite and least favourite venues?

I have been fortunate to play lots of shows here in California as well as in South America, here are some of the venues I’ve played. Whiskey A Go Go in Hollywood, CA multiple times, the Rainbow Room Hollywood CA, Canyon Club Agora Hills CA, Fiesta del Sol Argentina SF, El double media hora Television program Reconquista SF, Canal Animate Rio Cordoba Radio video broadcast Cordoba AR…

If you could open a show for any artist who would it be?

If I could open up for any artist it would probably be Slightly Stoopid, I feel their audience would vibe well with my sound.

You’ve used a comic book style in some of your music videos. If you could have a superpower what would it be?

If I could have any superpower I would want the ability to grow a bunch of arms so I could play a bunch of musical instruments at the same time.

What has your musical journey been like so far and where do you see it leading you in the future?

My musical journey has been a long and fun one, I’ve met a lot of amazing people along the way as well as grown mentally as a person. I see myself continuing on this path and getting better and better and I believe it’s a matter of time before y’all know who I am!!! My plans for the rest of the year are to continue to release a single and video every month and I would like to start performing again this summer so y’all be ready!!!
