LAST week I revealed how our favourite actor James Nesbitt is set to star in a new UK drama Monroe about a surgeon.

Now according to sources he is being pitched as the next Hugh Laurie and producers of the show are hoping it will follow in the footsteps of Hugh’s hugely successful House in which he plays grumpy doctor House.

James plays the role a top neurosurgeon who faces a range of medical emergencies, which he must deal with while simultaneously trying to contend with a pair of new trainees.

Monroe will hit our screens early next year.
