Newcomer James Burt has hit us with a brilliant debut single Dance In The Rain that is replete with 80’s synth-pop influences and the reaches for the sky with a big 90’s stadium rock chorus.
Beginning with James’ Ian Curtis style vocal and building with sentimental textures, the single explodes with crystalline atmospheres, dropping down again into The 1975-esque ghostly vocals and then back again to the huge chorus.
It’s a neatly structured earworm that tugs on the heartstrings with authentic moods and feelings permeating a quality and effective production that is striking from an artist so young. Watch this space, you heard James Burt here first!
