It’s always great to say you have followed an artist from the very beginning and going along their journey with them, a sort of virtual holding of hands. With Netherlands-born Jacob Drescher, he documents his life through the lens, living and creating in his caravan and traveling around the country gigging and performing before lockdown. There’s a divine pleasure in knowing how he has created his art and the source, and with where ends meet you can almost hear all of these elements coming together.
It’s an emotive, heartfelt track about knowing that with time, you will see each other again soon. Jacob’s vocal is soft and warm, letting your ears in with ease alongside the delicate acoustic guitar strum. A lovely accompanying female vocal enters the fray towards the end of the track, building to a soothing crescendo of sounds. There’s a DIY feel with Jacob and he seems to have found his sound very quickly and he should stick with it, as this young singer-songwriter has a long career ahead of him.
