"It’s more of a collection of songs I love than a conceptual album"

Bournemouth’s very own Jack Vallier is back with a bang! His highly anticipated EP Chaos Into Calm Pt 1 is finally here, and we can’t wait for part two to drop later this year. Get ready for some amazing new tunes!

The EP is filled with raw and honest songs that tackle mental and physical health, as well as some catchy pop tunes that explore heartbreaks. Lead single and EP opener Insomnia is a beautifully crafted, heart-wrenching ballad, with Vallier longing for sleep and for peace of mind after the end of a deep relationship.

Recent single Young Blood, which has been played by Mollie King at BBC Radio 1 on her Future Pop show, is a synth-driven serenade about the enduring power of a first love, built around stark, poetic verses and a soaring chorus.

“I have been writing my best stuff over the last few years and had so long to process my thoughts and feelings during lockdown,” Vallier says about the writing process. “A lot changed, I got diagnosed with CFS/ME which as an ex footballer was hard to process, had a tough breakup and couldn’t leave my house to take my mind off it. So I wrote about all sorts to help process these feelings, it’s more of a collection of songs I love than a conceptual album, but I hope everyone will have something they can relate to from the songs.”

After Vallier returned from a hiatus this year, for his return single ‘Insomnia’, he donated all Bandcamp proceeds to Action For M.E. – a charity in the UK supporting people with M.E.

Jack Vallier‘s unique perspective on pop music, which is both dark and refreshingly honest, has earned him a huge following with over 40 million streams on Spotify. He really caught people’s attention with his first few EPs. After various syncs on shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and his track ‘Rebekah’ being featured on BBC Radio 1 as Tune of the Week, Jack then went on tour supporting Dermot Kennedy for over 40 shows across the UK and Europe.

If you’re into music that’s all about real emotions and catchy tunes, you should definitely give Chaos Into Calm Pt 1 a listen! It’s a mix of raw and honest songs that talk about mental and physical health, as well as some anthemic pop tracks that help you navigate through heartbreaks.
