Westfield London – the capital’s pioneering leisure destination – announces that it will host its first film premiere on Monday 26th
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment will bring this eagerly anticipated sequel to Europe’s biggest and most technologically advanced, fully digital, 14-screen multiplex cinema – Vue at Westfield London.
Today marks a change in history as ‘Westfield London’ takes centre stage and becomes the ‘new’ location for world premieres in London. The stunning multimillion pound Vue cinema, which opened its doors at Westfield London in February 2010 will now be an alternative location.
Changing the face of film premieres and marking a major milestone in the future of UK cinema, Westfield London will throw down the red carpet for Iron Man 2’s global superstars, including Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Mickey Rourke, Samuel L. Jackson, and director Jon Favreau.
“Being given the privilege of holding a Hollywood blockbuster world premier is really the icing on the cake for Westfield London†said Michael Gutman, Westfield UK MD.
“We conceived the project to be a fusion of shopping, dining and entertainment with the capability to hold major events all undercover. The message is getting out about what an amazing venue we have available at Westfield”
In true ‘Westfield London’ style it is sure to be a show-stopping spectacle with a 1200 ft red carpet running from the full Atrium space
leading to London’s latest cinematic hotspot. Guests will experience a full VIP experience with a spectacular show in the Atrium.
With 82,360 sq ft of cinema space, 14 wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling fully stadium seated screens, including 5 3D enabled screens and almost 3,000 ultra comfortable seats; Vue Westfield is the future of cinema.
