Award winner Patrick Girondi, originally from the South Side of Chicago, is an Italian-American singer-songwriter, author, and founder of a gene therapy company (Errant Gene Therapeutics), with the mission of curing Sickle Cell Disease and Thalassemia. His band Pat Girondi and the Orphan’s Dream, share I Did My Best, their second single lifted from the rather intriguing and relevant album Orphan’s Return.
I Did My Best delivers 70’s Motown and funk, soul and rock vibes, and delves into Patrick’s personal experience with the United States’ health care system.

I Did My Best, scales the hills of personal struggle, performed in falsetto to amplify intimate vulnerabilities in the rare disease experience. It is sung for no one man’s ears, intended for the millions who have fought to swim the affliction ocean hindered by the anchors of health institutions and big pharma.

Do you have any exciting plans to share with us for your music in 2021?
My life and music are woven around the orphan disease experience. The Orphan Dream Band is in Italy working on album number 6, Orphan’s Resurrection.
