The 20-year-old singer-songwriter from London, Ines Rae has been penning original music since the age of 15, with her trademark happy-sad pop music and poetic metaphor-infused lyrics has debuted on Radio One. Her latest offering ‘Superhero’ is another hit with a touch of lo-fi crackle beneath her distinct vocals.  Ines Rae conjures up a flood of nostalgia with recollections of her birthplace, all while reflecting on her own growth and change—and wonderfully embodying it as a brand new pop hit with commercial appeal.

Talking about the new single, Ines Rae shares: “Superhero is one of the first songs I ever wrote. It’s about growing up and always staying young no matter how old you are and that everyone still has that small child within them. One of my favourite things to do as a child was to dress up as Spiderman and run around the park. I refused to wear anything other than a Spiderman costume for about 5 years of my life, it had to be Spiderman though. Batman wasn’t acceptable lol. Don’t ask me why because I’ve never even seen the films but still to this day, this memory makes me so happy and I had to write a song about it.”

‘Superhero’ is out now.
