Horslips2Irish rock legends Horslips will play December dates in the Odyssey Arena in Belfast and O2 in Dublin, MCD Concerts announced today.

The dates have been confirmed as Thursday Dec 3 in Belfast and Saturday Dec 5 in Dublin. Tickets for both shows go on sale Thursday 9 July at 9am. The band will play songs from their ten albums from the ‘70’s and from the more recent Rollback unplugged session.

“It’ll be a Horslips concert people who saw the band back then will recognise,” says fiddle, mandolin and concertina player Charles O’Connor. “but there’ll be a few surprises as well in the form of material we may not have played live before.”

Finally Eamon said, look, why don’t you see if Ray Fean will do this….’

“I’m delighted to be able to do these concerts,” says Ray, well known as Riverdance and Sharon Shannon Big Band drummer and currently on tour with Celtic Woman. “I’ve followed the band since I was kid. Big brother John, like. I reckon l already know most of the parts by heart…
