SWEDISH retailer Hennes & Mauritz will open it’s first store in Belfast next Thursday November 15.
H&M, known for “fashion and quality at the best price”, is located in the Queens building, Royal Avenue and will span across 2000 sq metres over three floors.
The store, which will employ 65 members of staff, will carry chic and affordable clothing for ladies, men, young adults and children plus accessories including a new shoe range.
Magnus Olsson Country manager for the UK and Ireland said: “Opening this store in November is really exciting for us, with it being our first store in Belfast.
“Belfast is a flourishing city and we’re happy to be able to provide customers with an exciting shopping experience.
“Our expansion in Belfast will continue the following season, with a second full concept store, in the new Victoria Square development, another opening that we really look forward to”.
H&M’s Autumn/Winter 2007 trends have retro influences from the latter part of the 20th century, with a modern mix of couture, elegant glamour and minimalism.
Classic British tailoring and knitwear form an important base which is updated with a new slant. Sportswear too incorporates new technical fabrics and features new details and functions.
H&M is a global fashion brand and pioneer of design collaborations with international style and celebrity icons such as Viktor & Rolf, Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Madonna and Kylie Minogue.
And the designer collaboration for 2007 will be with world renowned designer Roberto Cavalli. This red carpet collection will only be available at a small selection stores in the UK and Ireland.
To celebrate the opening of the new store in Belfast, H&M will offer the first 200 customers £5 off of their first purchase over £5 which shall be valid for the opening day only.
