Iceland has a great track history of making brilliant pop music so we’re excited by their latest export – Heidrunna, who has just released her excellent debut single, You Make Me Feel.

Hailing from Reykjavik, Heidrunna has one of those sweet dreamy voices that work so well in electro synth pop like this. We can definitely hear her influences of Blondie, Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder in this one.

Here’s Heidrunna on the track: “You Make Me Feel is about meeting someone for the first time and feeling this electric connection, just when you least expect it. Also at the time, I was heavily into Prince and it’s inspired by his honesty and simplicity in his writing, rhythm, and structure.”

You Make Me Feel is the first track taken from Heidrunna’s debut album – Melodramatic coming out in early 2022. Onboard for production is Liam Howe whose portfolio includes the likes of Lana Del Rey, MARINA, FKA twigs, and Ellie Goulding, so we’re looking forward to hearing more.
