HEDARA Shares WE’RE NOT THE SAME

The West London Songwriter Soars on Alt-Pop Gem

By Frank Bell

A firm favourite at Fame Magazine, London songwriter Hedara returns this Autumn with the emphatic alt-pop EP Sad Girl Syndrome – A collection of affecting, emotive and deeply personal pieces of pop songwriting from an upcoming talent. The lead single on the EP is the lush new single We’re Not The Same, a track that lyrically explores the final days of a dying relationship

Hedara explains: We’re Not The Same was written in a manner of minutes. It was one of those songs that was written so in the moment of a relationship breaking down that it just flowed onto the page. I didn’t want it to be a negative song, I wanted there to be some sort of hope to the relationship finding its way back”

Undeniably some of her strongest work to date, the EP draws on elements of electronica and pop throughout. Her unique ability to craft a pop chorus hook has lead to continued support across BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 1. Listen to the full EP below
